Innovative re-design of Zebra/Quagga Mussel treatment: resulted in more than 80% reduction in the use of Sodium Hypochlorite, and more effective treatment system. Cost savings, labour savings, environment and health and safety benefits.

Full Scale Trials Alternatives to Chlorine for Zebra and Quagga Mussel Treatment: Initiated the first full scale plant treatment trials using Pseudomonas florescens (dead bacteria). This treatment approach was tested locally and has resulted in no Sodium Hypochlorite treatments at one facility for a number of years.
